Robert G. Lewandowski brings over three decades of experience representing and counseling family-owned and closely held businesses with their many varied legal and operational problems. Recognizing that problems are often multi-dimensional Bob offers counsel on new business formation, acquisitions, shareholder relations, employment issues, tax planning and other small business issues. With an emphasis on cost-effective solutions, Bob solves problems so that our clients may turn their energies on what they do best – run their businesses.

Bob represents numerous businesses and individuals in federal and state courts and agencies, with an emphasis on taxing authorities such as the IRS and Michigan Department of Treasury. He has successfully represented these clients through multi-million dollar sales and acquisitions, franchise acquisitions and disputes, tax audits, and business separations.

Bob is also on the faculty of the University of Phoenix - Detroit campus where he instructs in the Graduate Business Program in the areas of Business Law, Employment Law, and Taxation. He enjoys helping young entrepreneur students in getting started and growing their businesses.

Bob is Of Counsel to the firm and joined us in 2002. His primary practice areas include Taxation, Estate Planning & Administration, Litigation, and Commercial Law. Bob was born and raised in Detroit and received his B.A. with distinction from the University of Michigan in 1974. He attended Wayne State Law School, in Detroit where in 1977 he received his law degree (J.D.). Bob later attended the University of Miami Law School in Coral Gables, Florida where in 1984 he received his second law degree (LLM) in Taxation. He is licensed to practice law in Florida, in addition to Michigan. He is married to Sheryl, a Registered Nurse, and they have three children.
