John J. Moran is a shareholder and member of the Firm’s Litigation and Medical Practice Groups. He has been engaged in the practice of law for over 18 years and concentrates his practice on litigation with an emphasis on the defense of health care professionals, medical practice groups, and institutions in medical malpractice actions. John represents clients in various general liability, health care, commercial, personal injury, and domestic relations matters. He provides counsel to large medical practice groups in various aspects of risk management and other legal matters.

John represents physicians, medical practice groups, hospitals, and other clients in all phases of pre-trial, trial, and appellate practice in Michigan courts. He has also arbitrated medical malpractice, domestic relations and medical practice dissolution actions.

He is licensed to practice in the State of Michigan and the United States District Court for the Eastern District of Michigan. John is a member of the Michigan Bar Association, American Bar Association, Detroit Metropolitan Bar Association, and the Wayne County Family Bar Association.

John holds an “AV” rating from Martindale Hubbell, the highest rating awarded attorneys by their peers.

John received his BA in Finance from Michigan State University in 1987. He earned his Juris Doctor from The Pennsylvania State University – Dickinson School of Law in 1990. While at Dickinson, he was a member of the Appellate Moot Court Board and Articles Editor of The Dickinson Journal of International Law.

John and his family reside in Grosse Pointe Park.
