Christopher R. Gura practices in the firm's litigation, labor, school law, and auto dealer sections. Chris represents individuals and businesses in all facets of dispute resolution at the state and federal court level. He has litigated cases involving a broad range of general business issues including breach of contract, employment discrimination, and wrongful discharge, Consumer Protection Act violations, construction lien claims, landlord-tenant, and real estate disputes.

Chris received his undergraduate degree from Michigan State University (B.A. 1994), and his law degree from the University of Detroit Mercy School of Law (J.D., cum laude, 2002). While at University of Detroit Mercy, he was an associate editor of Law Review and authored "United States v. Faasse: The Beginning of the End of the Child Support Recovery Act?" 78 U.Det.Mercy L. Rev. 699 (2001). He was a finalist in the 2002 Professional Responsibility Moot Court Competition. Chris is a member of Alpha Sigma Nu National Jesuit Honors Fraternity, Who's Who Among Students in American Universities and Colleges 2001-02, and the National Order of Barristers. Also during law school, Chris served as an extern law clerk for the Honorable Amy P. Hathaway at Wayne County Circuit Court.

Chris is admitted to practice in the State of Michigan and the United States District Court for the Eastern District of Michigan. He is a member of the Federal Bar Association, Macomb County Bar Association, and is an active member of the Detroit Metropolitan Bar Association, where serves as director and executive officer of the Barristers.
